Amanda Bond, DVM???
If you ask Amanda what she wants to be when she grows up, she will tell you that she thinks she'd like to be a veterinarians assistant. She wants to do all the "good stuff" with the animals, but doesn't ever want to have to put one to sleep, so she thinks that if she's just the "assistant", she won't have to do that part. I don't know if she's right or not, but I do know that she spent a good, long time playing vet at the Children's Museum. She took care of lots of sick and wounded critters and helped lots of them get adopted into good homes....and was just beaming the whole time!

We had a dog put to sleep last winter. The vet did it but the tech stood and held the dog and assisted. I don't think it was much fun for either one. But I tell you what Amanda. That dog was turning into a fear biter. She attacked our other much smaller dog. She almost bit a neighbor child. The vet didn't like it but the vet did it to protect children and our other pets. She did a brave thing.
